The Futureheads, have collaborated with iconic artists including David Shrigley, Pete Fowler and Stuart Semple to create a series of limited edition prints, raising money for Newcastle based charities with all of the artists generously giving their time for free. The project came about as the band discussed ways to celebrate their 10th birthday, ahead of their ‘Futurefest’ gig on the 23rd December in Newcastle. For the ‘FH10’ project the band sent each one of the artists an album, and asked them to respond to its music as if creating the album cover for the first ever time.
The Futureheads discovered Sunderland based Lyndsey’s work at the National Portrait Gallery and instantly knew they wanted her to be part of the Futureheads 10 project. An artist based in the North-East of England, she graduated from Sunderland University in 2004, since which time her work has been displayed in local galleries and notably featured in the BP Portrait Award 2010 at the National Portrait Gallery, London.
